Few words about myself and my practice. I was born in Cordoba, Argentina, in 1974. I studied at the School of Arts at the National University of Cordoba where I obtained my bachelor's and master's degree in painting (1994 - 2001). In 2002, I was accepted within the two-year international residency program at the Rijksakademie van beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. When I finished the program, I had decided to make Amsterdam my home.
My practice is driven by an interdisciplinary engagement with science, focusing on ecosystems through long-term research-based projects. In collaboration with scientists and research institutes, I explore ecological processes and environmental change through considerations of form, scale, colour and texture.
While my work has a strong conceptual angle, my practice is studio based and it is very much anchored in a material exploration which requires studio space and a range of materials at hand with which to formally explore subject matter.
